“Podcasts have an ability to entertain, educate, touch, and move” This includes both observing and evaluating our platform rules, so the podcast industry can continue to develop in a safe, genuine way. We will continue to be worthy of this trust by developing the podcast industry for everyone involved – creators, listeners, and advertisers. More and more creators are publishing their podcasts with Spotify, more advertisers are discovering the strength of the spoken word and a full 60% of Swedes who responded to our survey choose to listen to podcasts on Spotify. So it’s not so surprising that documentaries were the most popular genre on Spotify’s own most-listened list this year.Īs Head of Content at Spotify, I’m happy and proud that Spotify is such a strong platform, not merely for music but also for the spoken word. Of course entertainment is an important part of many podcasts, but as many as 7 out of 10 people in this year’s survey also feel that podcasts increase their knowledge of society. In a world where many of us spend increasing amounts of time scrolling our screens, a podcast offers something else. Perhaps it isn’t so strange that podcast listening is growing and becoming more appreciated. And a full 93% of those who listen regularly say they talk about the content of the podcasts with other people. Young people between 18 and 29 listen most. In our annual survey of the Swedish podcast landscape, 40% of respondents now say they listen to podcasts at least once a week. And the content in podcasts inspires discussion. We listen as we travel, clean our homes, or work out. For us, listening to other people’s voices and stories is part of everyday life. Sweden is one of the countries where the podcast market is the most developed. On the way to work I enjoy listening to supporter podcasts, where informed fans discuss the latest happenings on Swedish football pitches, the latest episode of “Stammis”, or a new documentary from Spotify Dok. In 2021, the podcast became a widespread phenomenon, with extremely broad penetration – and at the same time there’s a voice and a story for each one of us. The same applies to the communities created around many podcasts – that only us listeners understand. It becomes an intimate, enthusiastic and personal experience, almost every time we press Play. Almost all podcasts share the sense of proximity we get from another person’s voice in our headphones. But you can also find really niche content that’s only relevant to supporters of a particular sub-culture. On Spotify you can find popular interview podcasts from creators whose star status is close to that of the biggest artists. The very best thing about podcasts is their personal appeal and diversity. Johan Seidefors, Head of Content, Nordics for Spotify There’s a podcast for everyone, and you’ll find it on Spotify.

Put some points into this and max out when needed. Nice damage absorption an physical damage boost while dropping under 33% health. Maxed out skill can be used during bossfights, but it’s not worth 12 skill points. The Nature is very strong mastery by it’s own. Masteries give you only Int and Dex, so you are supposed to wear Int/Dex items.īy the end of the game, the player would have recieved a total of 855 Health, 42 Strength, 18 Intelligence, 18 Dexterity and 18 attribute points. Increase these stats only to meet the requirements of the gear. Since you are not dealing damage by yourself, Str/Int/Dex stats are somewhat irrelevant. Every attribute point put in Health / Energy gives you extra 40 health/energy. Every attribute point towards Strength, Intelligence or Dexterity is raising it by the value of 4. You will get 2 attribute points every level. Unlike skill points, attribute points can’t be reset. About 850 for both is considered “normal” for heroes in legendary (OA needed for melee only obv.), so the pets are somewhere in that territory. They obtain about +350/+600 OA and DA in Epic/Legendary difficulty respectively. Pets are subject to Offensive Ability and Defensive Ability calculations.Pets receive some Movement and Attack Speed each difficulty. They gain +100% health from difficulty changes and +100% health from a quest mid act 3 each difficulty, resulting in +500% Health overall. Pets gain +200/+400 health in Epic/Legendary difficulty flat. This leads to high damage spikes in early acts and decreasing killspeed nearing the end of each difficulty mode.Difficulty buffs now also give some (flat) damage through extra STR and INT rather than just high +% to damage.Except Pierce and DoT Damage, those are increased by +60%/+110%.Pets get +75%/+150% to all damage types in Epic/Legendary difficulty. You can add different flat damage types to her standard attack and buff these. Only a few enemies can hurt you and your pets really bad during the first playthrough (Typhon), Dactyl (can be avoided) and Toxeus (optional)). The summoner is an overpowered class combo overall. Progression speed will decrease by the end of the game on every difficulty. Pet survivability and killspeed varies quite a bit until endgame build status is reached.Pets will do the work for you, but passive playstyle can be a real disadvantage for some players.
Digital advances have meant that bullying is no longer left at the school gates cyberbullying is a new method for bullies to hurt and humiliate their victims with the click of a button. Young people are not only at risk from adult exploitation children can also obtain sexual or intimate photos of a peer and share them with or without the individual's consent. Technological advances have allowed individual offenders and trafficking rings to evade detection through encrypted platforms and the creation of false identities, and have enabled them to pursue multiple victims at the same time. Child sex offenders have increased access to children through unprotected social media profiles and online gaming forums. Digital technologies have increased the scale of child sexual abuse and exploitation. These benefits include access to education, training, and jobs, which can help break intergenerational cycles of poverty, and access to news and information sources that can help protect their health, safety, and rights.Īlong with the substantial opportunities the digital age brings, come a diverse range of risks and harms. Young people who lack digital skills, live in remote regions, or speak a minority language are also being left behind in harnessing the opportunities that digital technologies can provide. However, the so-called digital divide is substantial: 346 million youth are not online, with African adolescents the most affected (60% are not connected compared with 4% in Europe). UNICEF's State of the World's Children 2017: Children in a Digital World report reveals that one in three internet users is younger than 18 years and 71% of 15–24-year-olds are online, making them the most connected age group worldwide. They have transformed their education and learning, the way they make and maintain friendships, how they spend their leisure time, and their engagement with wider society. The internet and the means to access it, such as tablets and smartphones, along with social media platforms and messaging apps, have become integral to the lives of youth around the world. Digital technologies have profoundly changed childhood and adolescence. "They'll let you put your own twist on it and keep it current with culinary trends." "The Caesar clientele is adventuresome," says David Munster, executive chef at Cafe Tu Tu Tango, the noisy, trendy, Generation X hangout in north Atlanta's Buckhead area. Today it's associated with a less stodgy, more effervescent bunch. The profile of the Caesar salad eater is changing. It was certainly essential to Cardini, a Prohibition-era hotel chef in Tijuana, Mexico, who whipped up the first Caesar salad 70 years ago. But others would argue that the briefly boiled (coddled) egg, which coats the romaine leaves, gives the salad its character. It's certainly safer, since raw or undercooked eggs are now linked to salmonella poisoning. Some chefs contend that a Caesar with a fully cooked egg (or no egg at all) is just as delicious as one made the original way. Part of the adulation is due to the Caesar's idiosyncratic blend of flavors and textures: garlic, lemon, salt, smoke creamy, crunchy, granular. "The Caesar salad is really basic and unpretentious." "The '80s are over, and people are tired of paying top dollar for greens they can't even pronounce," says Wendy Webster of the National Restaurant Association. There's even a Caesar-to-go bar at the gourmet grocery store Harris Teeter, where a chef tosses salads to order, embellished upon request with shrimp or chicken strips. Not only is it a fixture in the old-guard Continental restaurants that still serve it tableside, but it now appears in every other kind of eatery, from hotel coffee shops to cutting-edge New American bistros. Seven decades after its creation by the Italian chef, Caesar salad is still being hailed by the masses, whether it comes to the table embellished with innovative ingredients or in its basic garb.Ī recent National Restaurant Association study found that Caesar salad is as popular as pasta, spinach and fruit salads, and that it shows up on 50 percent of the country's menus - up from 31 percent in 1988. Yet another version might feature corn nuts instead of croutons, or a low-fat, eggless dressing.Ĭaesar salad - that slippery, pungent classic of romaine lettuce, anchovies, Parmesan cheese and creamy, garlicky dressing - has become a chameleon, changing with the nutritional times and the maturing American palate. Just imagine the inventor of the Caesar ordering his baby at some of our more fashionable restaurants: One time it would arrive topped with scallops, another time garnished with sun-dried tomatoes or roasted poblano peppers. IF CAESAR CARDINI was alive, would he recognize the salad that bears his name? Probably not. Heavy cream may also pinch-hit for the egg. Recipe tester Jackie Tulloh reported that they worked exceedingly well in terms of both taste and texture. For safety's sake, we used egg substitute when raw eggs were called for. These recipes illustrate just how many ways there are to fix a Caesar. While some chefs eliminate the egg, swap the cheeses and add all sorts of nontraditional ingredients to the original recipe, the romaine lettuce remains constant. Later he chopped it up and turned it into a salad to be eaten with a fork. Its taste, while hard to describe, is an amalgam of garlicky, smoky, salty and lemony. The original Caesar was invented 70 years ago by hotel chef Caesar Cardini, who used romaine because it was sturdy enough to be finger food. Traditionally stacked high with romaine lettuce, anchovies and croutons, it's got plenty of visual appeal. There, Asprinio helped shape the complex’s three unique restaurants and onsite retail shop.Nowadays, the almighty Caesar salad reigns. Later, Asprinio brought his vision to another Inlet waterfront development, the Charlie and Joe’s at Love Street dining complex, which is co-owned by football icon Joe Namath. "Stephen was an important member of the team that helped create the original food and beverage offerings for 1000 North,” says Ira Fenton, managing partner of 1000 North. He was a creative, culinary force behind Jupiter’s 1000 North, the Inlet-area restaurant partly owned by NBA legend Michael Jordan. I think it definitely fills a bit of a niche within the crowded genre and does something a little bit different. Spellbreak is typically a blast, no matter which of the platforms you jump on to play it delivering some fast paced fantasy battle royale action. I should mention that this does support up to forty-two players in a battle, it seemed to matchmake fairly quickly no matter where I played it. The Playstation 4 and Xbox versions ran perfectly fine while looking good even during some intensive segments of combat. It looked really great on Xbox One X and less so on the Nintendo Switch which also struggled with frame rate in some frantic moments. The look and quality of this does change a lot across the platforms. It has a sort of ruins vibe to it, with some distinct areas. The map itself is decently large in scale, it’s called The Hollow Lands. There are also some secondary abilities you can use, and a neat sense of speedy movement. It can be particularly wild if you’re in a group and battling other factions. That’s really quite cool, to see the combinations of the abilities being sent outwards. Continuing on you’ll use these gauntlets to unleash a few abilities, and some of them can be combined to provide more devastating effects. It’s streamlined and very well done inventory wise. You’re easily able to upgrade, no confusing inventory management on this one. You will also be able to find upgrades as you explore and loot. You start off with a selection, and then can add another to that. There are these elemental gauntlets you collect while playing. This is a game about spell casting and its systems are very interesting. That worked fine whether I was on Xbox One, Playstation 4 or Nintendo Switch platforms. I was able to experience this on a number of platforms since it does have the option for cross-progression and cross-play which is great for a seamless time. That’s the core of the experience, and the general just of what you’re doing. It’s all about being the last individual and or team standing in order to win. It’s then a mad dash to collect loot as you then use those very items to protect yourselves or go on the offensive. Like with all games of the genre you drop down onto the map, this time around using a sort of teleportation into freefall. In threes, duos or solos depending on what’s available due to certain game adjustments you’ll be battling it out using powerful spells. This is a free to play battle royale experience that does something a little new with the saturated genre by infusing a little bit of fantasy and magic. Spellbreak was an ambitious project that saw our team push new boundaries in design and development and we are excited to continue to innovate as we create new titles in the future. We are grateful to everyone in the game’s community for exploring the magical worlds and experiences we created together. Our vision was to create a fresh, multiplayer action-spellcasting game with exceptional movement and class customization that would give players the chance to unleash their inner battlemage. Thank you to the millions of players who have joined us in the Hollow Lands since 2018 it’s been an amazing journey. The servers will be shut down as of early 2023. Here's the full message from the development team:Īfter more than four years of elemental magic and spell combinations, we’ve made the decision to end development of Spellbreak. In this time millions of playes have apparently participated in the fun. The live service game has only been around since 2018, and was released on the Nintendo Switch in September 2020 as a free-to-download title. The "fantasy-action" battle royale Spellbreak has announced it will be shutting down its servers "early" next year. Second, errors commonly seen in serial order research in younger adults most often include out-of-sequence, transposition errors, i.e., a response that is recalled in the wrong serial position. First, prior research has consistently shown that when young, healthy participants are asked to repeat numbers backward, recency effects are enhanced. Subsequent experimental research assessing serial order, such as asking participants to repeat digits backward, has been used to operationally-define a number of specific parameters related to working memory including primacy and recency effects and the generation of specific patterns of errors (see for a complete review]. Karl Lashley was among the first researchers to address what he termed The Problem of Serial Order 1. Moreover, reduced aggregate serial order recall was associated with greater MRI evidence of left-sided frontal and posterior parietal white matter alterations. found that total serial order recall was able to differentiate patients with AD versus vascular dementia who presented with MRI evidence of subcortical white matter alterations. The BDT has previously been analyzed to generate two gross aggregate measures including total any recall – tallied as the total percent recall of digits regardless of their correct serial order and believed to provide a measure of auditory span and total serial order recall – tallied as the total percent recall of digits in the exact serial order and believed to provide a measure of working memory and the capacity for mental manipulation. have been used to assess working memory deficits in both dementia and MCI. Tests that examine serial order recall, such as the Backward Digit Span Test (BDT) as described by Lamar et al. In addition to unique patterns of behavior obtained from neuropsychological measures, patients with dysexecutive MCI have also been distinguished from other MCI subtypes using and neuroimaging parameters. suggested that steeper temporal gradients may provide a useful heuristic for understanding brain-behavior relationships that underlie impairment on executive tests in patients with MCI. The emergence of this striking negative slope, or steep temporal gradient as described by Fuster, suggests difficulty maintaining mental set. found that impairment on executive tests produced by mixed and dysexecutive MCI patients were similar and remarkable in that performance deteriorated as a function of time to completion and/or test epoch. have shown that patients with amnestic MCI differ from other MCI subtypes on a variety of linguistic as well as memory parameters obtained from a serial list learning test. Second, the investigation of MCI subtypes provides an opportunity to investigate the neurocognitive constructs underlying brain-behavior relationships associated with MCI. Recent research has also shown that when mixed/dysexecutive MCI patients are defined using neuropsychological criteria there tends to be faster progression to dementia than other groups. For example, past empirical findings suggest greater reliability for the eventual emergence of dementia for amnestic and multi-domain MCI as compared to single domain dysexecutive MCI. The importance of investigating MCI subtypes revolves around several clinical as well as theoretical issues including a greater understanding of conversion to dementia and a clearer appreciation of the brain-behavior relationships that underlie MCI syndromes. Patients diagnosed with MCI can be classified as presenting with single versus multiple domain subtypes. Diagnostic criteria for MCI include the subjective complaint of memory and/or other neurocognitive problems, along with relative preservation of instrumental activities of daily living, in conjunction with objective evidence documenting a decline in memory and/or other neurocognitive abilities. Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is generally believed to be a prodrome that often results in the emergence of dementia syndromes such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and is considered to be a useful construct to identify patients who are potentially at risk for developing a dementing illness. The channel current of the proposed device is controlled with two control gates by the coupling capacitors with the floating gate. The floating gate overlaps the bulk and the two control gates, which leads to the coupling capacitors. The floating gate is generated by a single-poly layer, which is isolated from the bulk and the two control gates by a dielectric layer. Two heavily doped N+ regions are generated on a P-type bulk to serve as the source and the drain, and two N- or P-type physically isolated wells are generated beside the bulk to serve as the two control gates CG 1 and CG 2, respectively. The proposed ANC device is based on an evolution of a single-poly metal–oxide–semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) and the cross section of the proposed ANC device is shown in Figure 2, including a source region (S), a drain region (D), a bulk region (B), a floating gate (FG), and two control gates ( CG 1 and CG 2). In addition, it is difficult for the device to suppress interference, which is important for small signal detection. However, the floating gate and sensing area are integrated as a whole and can only detect charge signals, which is not suitable for detecting voltage signals because the voltage signal on the floating gate fixes the working point of the device. The OCMFET device can detect signals in the frequency range of cell electrical activity (10–1000 Hz) and can work without any external reference electrode. Ionic or cell charge variations occurring in close proximity to the sensing area cause a charge separation in the floating gate, which leads to a modulation of the charge carrier density inside the channel of the transistor, as shown in Figure 1c. The working principle of a floating gate organic charge-modulated field-effect transistor (OCMFET) is shown in Figure 1a, where the sensing area is part of the floating gate exposed to the surrounding bioelectrochemical environment to detect signals, and the control gate is used to set the working point with the control capacitor, as shown in Figure 1b. For example, a sensing platform based on floating gate OTFTs is used for bioelectrical signal sensing. The organic thin-film transistor (OTFT) is another meaningful branch and has been extensively studied for bioelectrical signal detection. The ion-sensitive field-effect transistor (ISFET) is an important branch of FET and has attracted great research interest regarding chemical signal detection due to its small size, capability of mass fabrication, and fast response time. The multiparametric nature and intrinsic signal amplification ability of FETs make them capable of achieving well beyond what is possible with two terminal devices. One of the major classes of solid-state sensors is based on the field-effect transistor (FET). There is growing interest in detecting chemical or bioelectrical signals with solid-state sensors in a complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor (CMOS) process. Waving a non-contact voltage tester inside the junction box is the best way to confirm that electricity is not flowing to the switch. The next step is to remove the cover plate so you can access the switch itself. You’ll find instructions for installing a C by GE C-Start Smart Switch Motion Sensing+Dimmer on a multi-way circuit here, but the upshot is that you’ll need a C by GE smart switch on all the other legs of the circuit. (And if you don’t need all the features this dimmer offers, GE Lighting offers four simpler and less-expensive alternatives.) The first step-and the most important-is to identify which circuit breaker controls the electricity flowing to that switch and to turn it off. In this how-to, we’ll replace a single-pole switch with a C by GE Start Smart Switch Motion Sensing+Dimmer, but the process isn’t radically different for a multi-way circuit. (The latest Wemo WiFi Smart Light Switch 3-Way is an exception to that rule, and it can also be used in a single-pole installation. If you’re replacing a dumb switch on a three- or four-way circuit, you’ll typically need to replace the other switch or switches on that circuit with companion switches from the same company that made the smart swtich you’re installing. If two switches can control it-for example, switches on opposite sides of the room-you have a three-way switch (if more than two switches control the same light, it’s described as a four-way circuit.) If only one switch controls the flow of electricity to that bulb you want to control, you have a single-pole switch. Next, you’ll need to determine if you need a single-pole or a three-way switch. In a three- or four-way circuit, more than one switch can turn the bulb on and off. Single-pole switches are the easiest to replace, since only one switch controls the circuit. Do you need a single pole switch or three-way? Daniel Masaoka / IDG |
